Badge Logo Update

My Old Man Said (MOMS) is the name of the online publication and Aston Villa F.C. supporters’ group.
The brief was to streamline the logo by removing the black borders and update the colour palette to the true claret and blue of Aston Villa.

This proved a challenge as the original vector art was built on complex corrupted shapes from previous live traces. In order to make the changes, a complete redraw was required.

The logo was rebuilt from scratch with clean and minimal vectors and line work. This included the MOMS type logo and lion. The shapes were aligned correctly, and the star and founding year were centred.

A claret type version was also produced.
